Tonight I start two weeks of guest lecturing at DGM 6280, Northeastern University’s graduate course in media industry management. James Gardner, (who I sang the praises of back in 2015) has pulled together a who’s who of digital innovators who will be bringing their insights to his international cohort of students.
· And other members of the Connective DX experience design family still to be confirmed.
This week, we’ll look at emerging digital media business models from Buzzfeed to Amazon and see how leaders such as Google and Microsoft are disrupting their established operations with new models. Next week we’ll look at the often uncertain work of leading these change, and discuss media organizations who have done this successfully. And we’ll use the DX7 digital imperatives from Connective DX to look at steps organizations can take to increase their likelihood of success.
It’s great to be back at Northeastern, and I’m looking forward to a few nights with James and his class.
