I didn’t know that Open Office.org runs on commercial platforms. It would be really cool to get it to run off the USB, perhaps on multiple platforms. Nice trick!

Moreover, my own efforts on the Open Source front include:

1) Portable Apps (run on an 8MB USB stick)
2) Open Office.org (blows MSoft Office out of the H20)
3) My next laptop will be a Mac.

After learning about l’affaire Peter Quinn, I am less enamored of MSoft than I was before.

I appreciate Microsoft’s positive impact on human productivity, etc. However, I go to great lengths to avoid entangling Microsoft alliances. I don’t appreciate the virus prone aspect of their operating system. I have friends who removed Vista and replaced it with XP. Something’s not right IMHO
